They would have known this if they would have called me vs. All I wanted to know was if:A) they would come back out and shim the tub orB) if they would give me some tips on how to do it myself w/o hurting the tub or having to drain it completely to do it. I was astonished when the next day, instead of a call back, I received a text message that said this was not their problem and to contact the builder of the home! After spending almost $7,000, I couldn't even receive the dignity of a phone call to talk about the problem. This will create an issue as water levels fall during normal operation.I reached out to Recreation Unlimited and spoke to my salesperson and they deferred me to the voicemail of the service department. The slope is very small, however once the tub was full, you could tell it was an issue because one side of the tub was higher in water than the other, and the water was falling away from the filter and pump side. The install people told me they knew that and would shim the tub. Every concrete patio I've ever seen has a tiny amount of slope in it to shed water. He said the salesperson was wrong. My home is a new build home with a standard concrete patio. The installation tech told me that the hot tub plugs into a standard 15amp plug and draws 13amps. I purchased a 20amp outlet and installed it myself, only to find out, it was unnecessary. When I purchased my hot tub the sales rep told me I would need a dedicated 20amp run and a 20amp outlet. Thank you Kaitlyn and Courtney and everyone else there who helped along the way!! I would recommend them and their products to anyone! So it was just a bad pump and Rec Unlimited was eager to make it right. I hooked up the new control box and the water has been crystal clear ever since. They graciously agreed to replace it and even set up shipping so that the new control box came on the same day I returned from vacation. I must have sent her 50 emails over the course of a month! In any case, between the two of us, we determined that the filter pump wasn't working in my control box. They were extremely patient with me and assisted me at every step. I had been in close contact with Rec unlimited the entire time. After about ten days, I emptied it and refilled it. It was cloudy no matter what I did, what chemicals I used, what filtration mode I had it on (regular, UVC, ozonator). The water wouldn't clear up after filling it. They shipped it from Indiana to Michigan.
